Game overview

Hello readers and welcome back to Aziz's underrated games where I talk about underrated games and why I think you should play them too, this time around this game doesn't have much lore so I'm just not gonna write anything about it

Anomalous activities is a roblox, skill based, PvP,  12v1 ,horror shooter based around teamwork and deception and a high skill ceiling.

It is heavily based off of an old half life mod called "the hidden" and also takes some inspiration and assets from dead by daylight and other similar horror games. 

A regular match consists of 12 human MERC's and 1 invisible Subject, the human players goal is to stabilize the anomalous field, or kill the subject, the subjects goal is to simply kill all the humans or make them run out of time, the humans can stabilize the anomalous field by activating enough anchors, and can kill the subject by shooting them (which is much easier said than done) or killing them with their arsenal of weaponry and gadgets. The subject can kill the humans using their blade and their speed and nigh complete invisibility and can also use special abilities and mutations to gain an upper hand

First impressions 

Apologies readers the first time I played this game was like 2 years ago I don't remember my first impressions so we're just going to move on

Critiques 

The games horrible update cycle (that being once every extinction event) leaves its player base deprived of content, and the skill ceiling... my GOD THE SKILL CEILING, the skill ceiling is so high that the game never gets new players, it's just the same old players on different accounts, everytime I log on I know practically everybody in the server, and on top of that there is no tutorial, and the way the game is designed makes it so that newer players are punished for not knowing how to play, which makes the barrier of entry even worse, even for an archeximus game this barrier of entry is just too high, and the community is no better, due to how sweaty the community is I don't think this game is getting a flux of new players from content creators like decaying winter did I just don't think it's possible.

Summary

Overall it's a good game underneath all the flaws. But it's really held back by its unfathomably high barrier of entry. Due to the low player count, it's hard to find a server that has both a good amount of players, and an actually bearable server.

And that concludes this review, this one was a lot more negative than my last one (sorry about that) but even so I still play the game due to how addictive the gameplay is and its always still fun to get a good subject win, and sometimes you can find genuinely nice people there, I have made friends there. Anyways I'm out of things to say and I also don't know how to end these so uh bye.
